Chief Warrant Officer 3 Rafal Jurkiewicz
Chief Warrant Officer 3 Rafal M. Jurkiewicz enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in May 1998 and attended recruit training at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina. Following recruit training; Private First Class Jurkiewicz attended Marine Combat Training at Camp Geiger, North Carolina, and soon after he attended Engineer Equipment Operator School at Fort Leaonardwood, Missouri where he was assigned the Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 1345, Heavy Equipment Operator. In December 1998, Private First Class Jurkiewicz reported to Marine Corps Air Station New River, North Carolina. In February 1999 Private First Class Jurkiewicz was promoted to Lance Corporal and, later the same year in December, Lance Corporal Jurkiewicz was promoted to the rank of Corporal. In June of 2000, Corporal Jurkiewicz deployed to Greece, in support of the exercise Dynamic Mix 2000.
In April 2001, Corporal Jurkiewicz reported to the Support Platoon, Combat Engineer Company, Combat Assault Battalion, 3D Marine Division, Okinawa Japan where he served as the Tool Room, Calibrations, and Maintenance Management Noncommissioned Officer, as well as a Heavy Equipment Operator.
In April 2002 Sergeant Jurkiewicz was transferred to the Marine Wing Support Squadron 273, Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, South Carolina. Sergeant Jurkiewicz served as the Platoon Sergeant, Licensing Noncommissioned Officer, and Marine Corps Martial Arts Instructor. He deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from February to September 2004.
In November 2005 Sergeant Jurkiewicz was promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant and assumed the position of the Heavy Equipment Operations Chief. In September 2006 Staff Sergeant Jurkiewicz deployed again in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and returned in March 2007. Upon return, Staff Sergeant Jurkiewicz requested orders to the Drill Instructor School.
In January 2008, Staff Sergeant Jurkiewicz attended the Drill Instructor School, Parris Island, South Carolina. Upon completion of the Drill Instructor School, Staff Sergeant Jurkiewicz was assigned to Golf Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion.
In May of 2009 Staff Sergeant Jurkiewicz was transferred to the Recruit Processing Company, Support Battalion, where he served as the Processing Drill Instructor and a Senior Drill Instructor. In October 2009 Staff Sergeant Jurkiewicz was promoted to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant.
In January 2010, Gunnery Sergeant Jurkiewicz departed Parris Island and reported to the Warrant Officer Basic Course, India Company, The Basic School, Quantico, Virginia where he was promoted to the rank of Warrant Officer 1. He graduated in May and in June 2010 he reported to the Engineer Equipment Officer Course at Fort Leonardwood, Missouri.
In September 2010, Warrant Officer 1 Jurkiewicz reported to Marine Wing Support Squadron 371, Yuma Arizona and in August 2011 he was promoted to Chief Warrant Officer 2. During this assignment, he served as the Engineer Equipment Officer, Licensing Officer, and Maintenance Management Officer. He deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom from September 2011 to April 2012.
In June 2013, Chief Warrant Officer 2 reported to the 11th Marine Regiment, Camp Pendleton, California. In June 2014 Chief Warrant Officer 2 attended the Safety Officer’s course and gained an additional military occupational specialty. He served in both billets, as the Regimental Engineer Officer and the Regimental Safety Officer until March 2016.
In April 2016 Chief Warrant Officer 2 reported to the Combat Logistics Battalion 8, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, and in December 2016 was promoted to his current rank of Chief Warrant Officer 3. He served as the Battalion Maintenance Management, Licensing, and Engineer Equipment Officer. In March 2017 he deployed in support of Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force Crisis Response – Africa and returned in July 2017. Upon his return, Chief Warrant Officer 3 Jurkiewicz was assigned and oversaw the activation, development, and training of the Engineer Services Company.
In January 2019 Chief Warrant Officer 3 reported to the Marine Wing Support Squadron 272, New River, North Carolina where he served as the Engineer Equipment Officer, Licensing Officer, and Maintenance Management Officer. Chief Warrant Officer 3 retired from the Marine Corps on February 29, 2020.
Chief Warrant Officer 3 Jurkiewicz holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Park University.
Chief Warrant Officer 3 Jurkiewicz’s personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with gold star in lieu of 2nd award, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with gold star in lieu of 2nd award, and Good Conduct Medal with two bronze stars in lieu of 3rd award.

Gunnery Sergeant Alan Largen Jr.
Gunnery Sergeant Alan Largen Jr enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in June 2004 and attended recruit training at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina. Following recruit training, Private First Class Largen attended Marine Combat Training at Camp Geiger, North Carolina, then attended Marine Corps Expeditionary Fuel Technician School at Fort Gregg-Adams, Virginia, and was assigned the Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 1391, Expeditionary Fuels Technician. In February 2005, Private First Class Largen reported to the 9th Engineer Support Battalion, Okinawa, Japan. In April 2005, Private First Class Largen was promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal and then reassigned to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU). While on the 31st MEU, Lance Corporal Largen participated in several joint nation exercises, was deployed to several Southeast Asian countries, and conducted humanitarian assistance operations in the Philippines. In October 2006, Lance Corporal Largen was promoted to the rank of Corporal, and then in February 2007, he reported to the 8th Engineer Support Battalion, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
Corporal Largen was reassigned to the 2nd Marine Headquarters Group in July 2007 and deployed to Iraq in October 2007 as a 1st Iraqi Army Division Military Integrated Training Team (MiTT) member. During this deployment, Corporal Largen served as watch Noncommissioned Officer, Gunner/Driver, and weapons and tactics instructor. Corporal Largen returned to the 8th Engineer Support Battalion in October 2008 and immediately reported to the Marine Corps Expeditionary Fuels Technician School at Fort Gregg-Adams, Virginia, to serve as Operations Chief for the schoolhouse. Then, in January 2009, Corporal Largen was promoted to the rank of Sergeant.
In December 2010, Sergeant Largen reported to Marine Wing Support Squadron 172, Okinawa, Japan, to serve as a team leader. Then, in June 2012, Sergeant Largen was reassigned to Marine Corps Air Station Futenma, Okinawa, Japan, to serve as a Station Fuels Crew Leader. Following this tour, Sergeant Largen reported to Marine Wing Support Squadron 273, Beaufort, South Carolina, in June 2014.
While at Marine Wing Support Squadron 273, Sergeant Largen held several billets, including Maintenance Chief, Platoon Sergeant, and Fuels Chief. In December 2014, Sergeant Largen was promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant. Staff Sergeant Largen deployed to Spain as part of the Marine Air Ground Task Force Special Response Africa in July 2015 to serve as the Air Combat Element Fuels Staff Noncommission Officer in Charge (SNCOIC). Staff Sergeant Largen returned to Marine Wing Support Squadron 273 in February 2016.
Then, in June 2017, Staff Sergeant Largen reported to the Marine Corps Expeditionary Fuel Technician school, Fort Gregg-Adams, Virginia, to serve as Instructor and Curriculum Developer. Staff Sergeant Largen was promoted to his current rank of Gunnery Sergeant in August 2019. Gunnery Sergeant Largen reported to the 8th Engineer Support Battalion, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, in June 2020 and served as Platoon Sergeant and Operations Chief. Gunnery Sergeant retired from the Marine Corps in February 2024.
